Draftable is a league you score with your group — how we score, a table, talk next to standings. Dinner drafts are still here for one-night arguments (pizza, Marvel, Oscars). Think of it as a place to root for a team all year, and also a structured way to settle a table fight tonight.
Use Create in the header (or the plus on mobile). That starts a league — name it, then invite people, set the roster, and set how we score on the sheet. Draft night is optional. For a one-off dinner game, use Just tonight instead. Share a join code or link from there.
Yes! Draftable is free for personal use. We're focused on making group decision-making fun and accessible.
A league is where you keep score all season: standings, scoring every episode, and the board. Just tonight is a dinner draft — Live, Relaxed, or Scribe — that ends at the completed board. Prediction rooms from old links still open; Create does not start new ones.
Live drafts have timed picks — select within the turn limit or forfeit. Relaxed drafts have no timer pressure — pick when you're ready. Scribe drafts let one person enter every pick for people at the table while spectators follow along and vote afterward. All three work as Just tonight. A league's draft night is Live or Relaxed: Scribe seats aren't accounts, so their picks can't count toward a league.
The commissioner (the person who started the league or draft) controls the room: they can start/pause a draft, manage participants, adjust settings, handle disputes, and override picks if needed. Think of them as the moderator.
Yes, until the draft starts. Once live, most settings are locked to ensure fairness. The commissioner can still manage participants and pause if needed.
In snake order, the pick sequence reverses each round. So if Round 1 is A→B→C, Round 2 is C→B→A. This balances fairness since later pickers in Round 1 pick earlier in Round 2.
You can join via an invite link shared by the commissioner, or by browsing Play for public rooms. Some drafts require commissioner approval before you can participate. A league's code brings you into the league and its draft night together.
You'll see a prominent indicator when you're the current picker. In timed drafts, a countdown shows your remaining time. The app shows who's up next so you can prepare.
In timed drafts, your pick is forfeited and the draft advances. In relaxed drafts, the draft waits for you. Commissioners can also manually forfeit picks if someone is unresponsive.
Yes! Join as a spectator to follow along in real-time. Spectators can view picks and chat but cannot make selections.
In Live (timed) drafts, each picker has a set amount of time (e.g., 60 seconds) to make their selection. A countdown timer shows remaining time. When it hits zero, the pick is forfeited.
Yes! You can add AI participants to fill out your draft. AI opponents make contextually appropriate picks based on the draft topic and what's already been selected. AI fill-in is a draft-night helper, not a league type.
When enabled, you can only pick from a predefined list of options. When disabled, you can type any custom pick. This is useful for structured drafts (like NFL players) vs. open-ended ones (like "best pizza toppings").
The Up Next queue shows upcoming pickers in order, accounting for snake draft reversals. This is calculated server-side to ensure accuracy across all participants.

Public drafts are discoverable on Play. Private drafts are only visible to invited participants. Link-only drafts need the link and don't appear in search. Leagues are private, and a league's draft night is never listed on Play.

Check your internet connection. Draftable uses Firebase real-time listeners, so updates should appear instantly. Try refreshing the page if you're experiencing delays.
If a draft appears frozen, the commissioner can pause and resume it, or manually advance past a stuck picker. Contact support if the issue persists.
